These courses are offered at the 7 o’clock hour on Thursday
evenings.
Foundational Studies 32 Hours Required
These courses are offered at the 8 o’clock hour on Thursday
evenings.
Advanced Biblical Studies 28 Hours Required
These courses are offered at the 9 o’clock hour on Thursday
evenings.
Practical Studies 32 Hours Required
These courses are one-day Saturday seminars.
A maximum of 24 Life Experience Credit Hours may be substituted
for stated program requirements. The Academic Dean will determine
each student’s program.
The Educational Tour is optional and could substitute 12 credit
hours for stated program requirements. The Academic Dean will determine
how to apply those hours.

Each course offered values 4 credit hours.
Doctor of Ministry Program
60 Credit Hours (Beyond Master Degree)
Pre-requisite: Master of Biblical Studies or Master of Theology
Research Projects 12 Credit Hours
Five research papers must be written that consist of a minimum of
40 pages each and a minimum of a bibliography of five books and
three journals. The topics must come under the following: Soteriology,
Bibliology, Eschatology, Christology, and Pneumatology. The maximum
time to complete this phase of the program is 18 months.
Extended Reading 12 Credit Hours
The supervisor assigned to the doctoral candidate will prescribe
10 scholarly books to be read with a 5-page textbook interaction
paper to be submitted for each book. The maximum time to complete
this phase of the program is 18 months.
Exegetical Exercise 12 Credit Hours
An assigned book of the New Testament must be exegeted in a verse-by-verse
commentary format placed within a broader context of topical and
sub-topical summation. The maximum time to complete this phase of
the program is 12 months.
Internship of Practical Ministry 12 Credit Hours
The student must study a large local church and create a manual
that describes and evaluates its philosophy, government, vision,
job descriptions, various ministries, fellowship opportunities,
outreach efforts, pulpit style, financial structure, worship emphasis,
facility challenges, community involvement, and more. This study
is an internship of 4 months. The manual must be submitted 6 months
after the assignment is given.
Written and Oral Defense of Systematic Theology
12 Credit Hours
The student must know all aspects of systematic theology and demonstrate
that knowledge on an extensive exam and intensive oral interview.
The student must pass the written test with 80% or above. The student
may retake the test if it has been failed. The student may have
6 months to prepare for this defense after applying for it.
Three-month rests may be taken between each phase.
To have more classroom experience, classes may substitute for the
Extended Reading phase. One course would satisfy the requirement
of reading two books. Taking the course would involve: reading the
textbooks and taking the mid-term and final exams. No other part
of the program can be substituted with classes. A fourth of the
Internship Phase may be satisfied with an Educational Tour.
